The new 2013-2017 5th gen Ram 3500 4x4 trucks with radius arm front suspensions and leaf spring rear suspensions are great trucks, but like previous generations, there is a lot of room for improvement in the suspension.  The factory coil springs are still too stiff and you actually bottom out the front suspension very easily just driving on the road.   The improvement in ride quality up front is unbelievable, and you'll also gain several inches of wheel travel for when you go off roading or are just bombing down some dirt roads.  The rear suspension remains the same with this setup, as we use a 1" block to lift the rear height - the spring rates and towing capacity do not change at all. 

Our suspension system consists of 3" front dual rate coil springs, 1" steel lift blocks and new U bolts, Fox 2.0 IFP shocks (you can upgrade to other shocks), new end links for the front, heavy duty adjustable front track bar so you can keep the axle centered, and new bumpstops up front so the suspension won't bottom out quite as hard.  We have tested all of these components on our own 2014 Ram and the results are amazing, especially for this price point.  There are less expensive "lift kits" out there but none will improve the ride quality like our system does.  We don't just want to lift your truck, we want to make it drive and steer better than stock. When you own an expensive brand new truck, you don't want to cheap out on the suspension.  Here is what DOR can provide to improve your ride: 

3" Front Dual Rate Coil Springs, 20% softer than stock for a very smooth ride and 10" of wheel travel (4" compression, 6" extension from ride height). 

1" Steel Lift Blocks to raise the rear suspension without changing the spring rates at all (great for those who are always loaded down or pulling trailers). 

New U bolts for the rear suspension that fit your factory U bolt plate. 

Fox 2.0 IFP shocks front and rear, tuned for your truck and these spring rates.  You can also upgrade to remote resi shocks. 

Heavy Duty Adjustable Front Track Bar, made from 1.5" OD DOM tubing with a high quality heim joint at the axle end, and an FK uniball with 303 stainless misalignment spacers at the frame end. 

1.25" OD Adjustable Front Sway Bar End Links with high quality 3/4" heim joints to replace your weak factory end links.


With this setup, you can easily clear 35" tires on just about any wheel, and you can clear 37" tires on 8" or 9" wide wheels with 4.5" to 5.5" of backspacing.  The truck shown in the photos has 37" Toyo MT tires on Method 17x8.5" wheels with 4.75" backspacing.  There is some light rubbing of the inner fender that can be clearanced with a heat gun. 

This kit fits 2013 through 2018 Ram 3500 4x4 diesel or Hemi trucks - just select which motor your truck has and we'll send coil springs specific to your application. 

We also offer adjustable long arms that are 100% bolt-in and will allow you to move the axle forward, and fine-tune your caster.  You will be able to completely eliminate coil-spring bowing without the use of weak drop brackets that reduce your ground clearance.  Check out the separate listing for the long arms for full details.

Puts the factory ride to shame
I just wanted to say thanks for making a great lift kit. This 3" kit with the Fox shocks puts the factory ride to shame. I really like the steering box bracket too. All the parts were easy to install and only took a couple of hours. I will keep you guys in mind for future upgrades!
