THIS IS FOR 3RD GEN RAM STEERING BOXES ONLY, 2003 TO 2008 MODELS, MUST BE PART NUMBER 800116 - NOT THE NEW PART NUMBER 800121. THAT BOX USES OUR REGULAR DROP PITMAN ARMS FOR ALL 3RD GEN TRUCKS.

Please contact us before ordering.  We do not stock these anymore but can usually make them if needed.  We will let you know how long it will take before you order.

DOR's exclusive pitman arms for the Borgeson 800116 steering boxes allow the 3rd gen 2003-2008 Dodge Ram Borgeson box to be used with lifted trucks. The pitman arm included with the Borgeson box is very flat and will cause bumpsteer if used on trucks with more than a couple of inches of lift. Our pitman arms are designed to copy the stock pitman arm profile (the amount of drop from the output on the box) but are custom made to fit the Borgeson box. Nobody else in the world has these arms - this is something we make as a convenience for our customers who purchase the Borgeson 800116 box from us.

There are two options on these arms. The "Stock Style" arm is the exact same setup as your truck had on it with the stock box. Same bend, same profile, same mounting position. The drag link mounts on the top side of the pitman arm and will line up perfectly on trucks with 0" to 3" of lift.

If you have more lift than that, your truck probably has a track bar drop bracket, which requires the use of a drop pitman arm (the angles of the track bar and drag link need to be the same). Our "Drop Pitman" arm is the correct one to use in this case. This works on trucks with 3" of lift to 8" lift.

We also can make an extreme drop pitman arm for those who have more than 8" of suspension lift and who also have the appropriate track bar drop bracket. Please contact us if this is something you need. 99.9% of lifted trucks do not need more than the "Drop Pitman" arm. Dropping the drag link further down does not help unless you also drop the track bar down further.

All pitman arms are cut from blanks from the Eagle Forge and take at least a few days to make. So make sure you purchase this pitman arm BEFORE you install the Borgeson box if you have any suspension lift at all, otherwise your truck will be difficult to drive until the new pitman arm arrives.

If you need a drop pitman arm for your 2nd gen truck, we also have those but they are a different price. Please make sure you are selecting the right pitman arm for your truck - they do not interchange.
